A little Rust-Oleum Stops Rust primer and spray paint are all it takes to add festive pops of color to your winter wreath.

  1. In a well-ventilated area, shake your can of Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Universal Bonding Primer for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. Hold the can 10-16” from the pine cones and spray the primer in a steady, back-and-forth motion with slightly overlapping strokes.
  2. Now it’s time to add a festive pop of red to your pine cones with Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Gloss Protective Enamel (we used the color Gloss Regal Red), following the directions on the can. Apply light coats a few minutes apart.
  3. After the pine cones are fully dry, attach to your wreath with floral wire, add decorative picks from a craft store and add a bow as a finishing touch.
